Who referred you to the game?: Zippy
Character Name: Clark Kent
Canon source: Superman: Secret Identity
Personality: Any real description of Clark’s personality will likely use his namesake’s personality as a baseline. Partly because he is, in fact, an alternate universe version of Superman, but also because of the fact that the character factors into how he developed as a person.
Like his prime universe counterpart, Clark is a good, decent person with a love of writing, whose first instinct is generally to help people who need it, and is fully capable of of putting others before himself, and is surprisingly capable of self sacrifice for the benefit of others, He tends to think things through before acting, and thanks to his powers sometimes feels like an outsider to humanity.
Unlike Superman, he’s fairly secretive. He’s prone to walling himself off, enjoys his privacy, and plays things close to his chest. Even when he end up operating as Superman later in life, he did so covertly, using the costume itself to make people believe any occasional glimpse of him was an illusion or hallucination. He’s also a little more prone to sarcasm and snark, though that may just be because he’s a teenager.
Finally, he really does not like Superman jokes. He may have Superman’s powers now, but that doesn’t mean comparing him to his namesake, or setting him up on blind dates with Lois’s, Lanas, Loris, or Cat Grants won’t annoy the hell out of him.
History: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman:_Secret_Identity
Only relevant up to the end of the first issue, as I plan to app him as a teenager
Strengths: Powers include Superman-level strength, invulnerability, heat-vision, super-breath, x-ray vision, flight, superhuman healing, superhuman sense of smell, superhuman hearing, and superhuman vision. He also does not require oxygen.
He also has the same inbuilt control over these abilities that Superman does, with one difference. Clark subconciously can allow anything that wouldn’t be harmful to him past his invulnerability. (He is thus able to have blood drawn among other things)
He has no weakness to Kryptonite or red sunlight
Clark’s also a thinker, and while he can act quickly when needed to do so, he isn’t prone to going off half-cocked or without any sort of plan in place. He generally prefers to think through his options before coming to a decision.
Weaknesses: A weapons-grade electric shock is powerful enough to bring him down temporarily, and once in that state can be held unconscious for at least a week using large amounts of sedative. That said, he can eventually fight the sedative off.
He also has absolutely no combat experience whatsoever, so despite his abilities a sufficiently experienced person with the right tools or abilities can take him down.
He has absolutely no defense against a mental attack, short of his own willpower.
He also has a vulnerability to magic, in that he's just as vulnerable to magical spells as anyone else. Simply having magic origins isn't enough to trump his abilities though.
Preferred drop-in point: Seattle
What are some of your plans for this character in their new environment? Getting the chance to be a more open Superman, being able to have friends who understand the whole having superpowers issue, and weirding the hell out of Lois Lane
